1 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup honey
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 beef flank steak (1-1/2 pounds)

Steps:

  • In a large shallow bowl, combine the soy sauce, lemon juice, honey and garlic; add steak. Turn to coat; cover and refrigerate for 6-8 hours., Drain and discard marinade. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat or grill over medium heat until meat reaches desired doneness, 8-10 minutes on each side (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). Thinly slice steak across the grain.

1 cup chopped onion
1 cup dry red wine or beef broth
3/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil, divided
4-1/2 teaspoons minced garlic, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons ground mustard
1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 beef flank steak (1-1/2 pounds)
1 medium sweet red pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
1 medium sweet yellow pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
1 medium red onion, thickly sliced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 French rolls, split

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the onion, wine, soy sauce, 1/4 cup olive oil, 2-1/2 teaspoons garlic, mustard and ginger. Pour 1-3/4 cups into a shallow dish; add steak, turn to coat and cover. Pour remaining marinade into another shallow dish resealable; add the peppers and onion, turn to coat and cover. Refrigerate both for 3 hours or overnight, turning occasionally., Drain and discard marinade from steak. Lightly oil the grill rack. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 6-7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°)., Drain and discard marinade from vegetables. Place in a grill basket. Grill, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 9-11 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently. , In a small bowl, combine the pepper, and remaining oil and garlic; brush over cut sides of rolls. 1 beef flank steak (1-1/2 pounds)
2 medium tomatoes, cut into eighths
1 medium green pepper, sliced into rings
1 large onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
3 tablespoons chili sauce
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons cold water

Steps:

  • Score surface of steak, making shallow diagonal cuts. Place in a 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. Place tomatoes, green pepper, onion and mushrooms around meat. Combine the chili sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; drizzle over meat and vegetables., Cover and bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender. 1 large onion, sliced
1/3 cup water
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles
2 tablespoons vinegar

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds beef top round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cups water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
GRAVY:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1-1/4 cups beef broth or water
Hot cooked noodles or mashed potatoes, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°. In a large shallow dish, combine flour, salt and pepper. Pound steak with a mallet to tenderize. Add meat, a few pieces at a time, and toss to coat., In an ovenproof Dutch oven, brown steak in oil on both sides. Arrange onion slices between layers of meat. Add water and Worcestershire sauce. , Cover and bake 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until meat is very tender. Remove to a serving platter and keep warm. , In a small bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper and broth until smooth; stir into pan juices. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve steak and gravy with noodles or mashed potatoes, if desired. Freeze option: Freeze cooled beef mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a covered saucepan, gently stirring and adding a little broth or water if necessary.
