10 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 large onion, halved, thinly sliced
6 pretzel sandwich rolls (3 oz. each), cut vertically into 1/2-inch-thick slices
1-1/2 cups KRAFT Shredded Swiss Cheese
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese
2 cups milk
10 eggs
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Steps:

  • Cook and stir bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard all but 1 Tbsp. drippings from skillet. Add onions to drippings in skillet; cook 15 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Layer half each of the pretzel roll slices, onions, bacon and shredded cheese in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; repeat layers.
  • Microwave cream cheese in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 to 40 sec. or until softened; whisk until creamy. Gradually add milk, about 1/4 cup at a time, whisking after each addition until blended. Whisk in eggs and Parmesan. Pour over ingredients in baking dish; cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Heat oven to 350ºF. Bake casserole, covered, 45 to 50 min. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean, uncovering after 30 min. Let stand 10 min.

1 cup finely chopped sweet onion
2 tablespoons butter
1 package (30 ounces) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
Minced fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • In a small skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. In a large bowl, combine the hash browns, cheese, salt, pepper and onion mixture., Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a small bowl, whisk eggs and milk; pour over potato mixture., Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting. Sprinkle with parsley if desired.

2 cups of shredded swiss cheese
2 cups chopped vidalia onions
1 -1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Mix first 3 ingredients together and pour into ovenproof bowl.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan and bake at 325-350° until onion is soft and cheese melted, about 40 to 45 minutes.
  • Serve with chunks of French bread.

A cheesy onion casserole, a family favorite, is so delicious the left overs are always fought over.

2 tablespoon(s) butter ( or margarine )
2 cup(s) sliced onion
6 - hard cooked eggs, sliced
6 ounce(s) process swiss cheese, shredded
10 1/2 ounce(s) can condensed cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup(s) milk
1/2 teaspoon(s) prepared mustard
6 slice(s) french bread, cut 1/2 inch thick and buttered

Steps:

  • In skillet, melt butter. Add onions, cook till tender Spread onions in bottom of 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 baking dish Top with sliced eggs; sprinkle with shredded cheese
  • In saucepan, combine soup, milk, and mustard; heat and stir till smooth. Pour over casserole, being sure some goes to bottom.
  • Place bread slices on top, over-lapping a little. Bake in moderate oven ( 350 F ) for35 minutes or till hot. Broil a few minutes to toast bread.
  • Note: You can make this vegetarian by substituting cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken.
