Buttery Soft Rolls are the best and simplest homemade rolls ever. They're super soft and perfect with any soup, salad or main dish.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup warm milk ((2%))
1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoons instant dry yeast (1 package)

Steps:

  • Put the milk (95-115 degrees Fahrenheit) and the butter in the bowl of a stand mixer. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk. (If the yeast is not instant yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes to activate.)
  • Add the sugar, eggs, salt, and flour. With a paddle attachment for your stand mixer, mix for a few seconds until just combined. Let this mixture sit for about 5 minutes.
  • Switch the attachment to the dough hook and knead on medium speed for 10 minutes.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled.
  • Divide and roll dough into 15 balls. You may have more or less depending on the size you make the rolls.
  • Place in a greased 9x13 pan. Cover and rise for 15-20 minutes.
  • Bake at 375 for 13 to 16 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve warm.

Delicious, soft and buttery dinner rolls that you can make in a bread machine with little to no effort. Make ahead for special occasions!

1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup butter, , softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp . salt
4 cups bread flour
2 1/4 tsp . active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Add ingredients to bread machine according to manufacturer directions.
  • Set on dough cycle
  • Once cycle is complete, roll dough out onto a lightly floured surface
  • Divide into 24 equal portions, and form each portion into a ball.
  • Place shaped dough balls onto a greased 13x9 baking pan
  • Let rise in a warm area for 30-45 minutes, until almost doubled
  • Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes.
  • Rub tops with butter while still warm.

Easy Breadmaker Soft and Fluffy Butter Rolls image

2 eggs
1 cube butter
1 cup milk
1/4 c sugar
3 TBS brown sugar
1 tsp salt
4 c all purpose flour
1.5 TBS instant yeast

Steps:

  • In that order, place ingredients in bread machine, ending with the yeast at the very top above the flour.
  • Set bread machine to regular dough cycle.
  • Wait (usually a little less than 2 hours.
  • When finished, let dough rise for an extra 30 minutes in machine,
  • then remove dough and on a lightly floured surface, roll out dough and cut to shape.
  • Let rise 1.5 hours (less if your house is very warm, and more if it's cold).
  • Cook 12-14 minutes or until lightly golden brown, at 350 degrees F.
  • Let rest 10 minutes before eating.

1 1/3 c milk (1 c. plus 2 t. milk)
4 Tbsp sweet butter
1 large egg, beaten slightly
1/3 c sugar
1 tsp salt
4 c unbleached all-purpose white flour, sifted
2 tsp active dry yeast
for egg wash
1 egg
2 Tbsp milk

Steps:

  • 1. Place ingredients for dough in machine in order given, covering liquid ingredients with flour and adding yeast last. Upon completion of dough cycle, remove dough, divide into 12-18 equal pieces (depending on how large you want your rolls). For the best way to shape your rolls watch the video.
  • 2. Place on lightly greased baking sheet, cover and let rise until doubled. I have baked these on two different kinds of baking pans. A 8 inch round and a 9x13 sheet. The 8 inch round makes them more of a "Pull A Part roll" and you have to bake a bit longer. The 9x13 bakes them all the way around and they come out very nice. I prefer the 9 x 13.
  • 3. Beat together egg and milk and brush rolls with wash just before baking.
  • 4. Bake in preheated, 350-degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until golden brown.

ROLLS
4 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 c warm water
2 c scalded milk, cooled till lukewarm
3 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 c sugar
7- 8 c all purpose flour
2 eggs, at room temp
2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with a teaspoon of sugar; let stand for 10 min.
  • 2. Combine yeast mixture, milk, 1/2 cup sugar and enough flour to make runny batter.
  • 3. Add the melted butter, eggs and salt to the runny batter and mix well.
  • 4. Add the runny flour mix to the bread machine and select dough cycle.
  • 5. After the first kneading cycle is done, add the rest of the flour to make a stiff dough
  • 6. Once the dough cycle is complete, punch down and pinch off balls about the size of a golf ball.
  • 7. Cover, and let the individual rolls rise for 10 - 15 min or until doubled
  • 8. Place on a greased baking sheet, and bake at 350 F for 10 - 15 min. The rolls will be very light in color, so you may think they need more time. Don't do this! The rolls burn very easily on the bottom. Enjoy!

4 to 4-1/3 cups bread flour
2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup warm milk (70° to 80°)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten, room temperature

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, yeast and salt. In a small saucepan, heat milk, butter and sugar to 120°-130°. Add to dry ingredients; beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Add eggs; beat to combine. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky). , Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. , Punch down dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into 24 portions; shape into balls. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled, about 1 hour. 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
3 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ Better for Bread™ flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons bread machine or active dry yeast
Butter or margarine, melted, if desired

Steps:

  • Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except melted butter in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Dough/Manual cycle. Do not use delay cycle.
  • Remove dough from pan, using lightly floured hands. Cover and let rest 10 minutes on lightly floured surface.
