MY STRAWBERRY NUT BREAD
Grandma thought my recipe was extravagent because it used strawberry jam, butter, and sour cream. But once she tried it she loved it. I got this recipe from a friend in California about 20 years ago and have been making it frequently ever since.

STRAWBERRY-BANANA NUT BREAD
Recipe came from North Carolina Our State Magazine. The original recipe doesn't have bananas as an ingredient but I added it for more moist texture. I don't use big loaf pans but mini loaf pans and muffin pans. This is a big hit at the office.

STRAWBERRY NUT BREAD
I got this recipe from the Troy, Ohio, Strawberry Festival. Unlike most strawberry breads, this one calls for strawberry jam...not fresh berries. Because of this it is ideal for celebrations at any time of the year.

STRAWBERRY NUT BREAD
This strawberry bread contains a lot less margarine or oil than most I saw on Zaar. I got it from a local 4-H cookbook and can't wait to give it a try. I added my own touches, of course.

Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 350. Mix and sift dry ingredients into large bowl. Mix your eggs, oil. Slowly add your dry ingredient.
- Set a side 1/4 cup of these strawberries after you chopped them small. Now add the rest of your chopped strawberries and pecans and blend 30 seconds. Pour batter into your two greased loaf pans. Bake 60 minutes or until both loaves are baked and tests done in the center.
- Remove from oven and let them cool 20 minutes then pour the glaze all over top and let it rundown the sides. Let bread & glaze sit 30 minutes to set it just right. 30 minutes to wait, this is by far the toughest step in this recipe! 8) I hope you enjoy these lovely breads!
- *If you are going to freeze these loaves, freeze them unglazed. Then thaw and glaze them before serving.
- Strawberry Cream Cheese Glaze-In your mixer bowl add your chopped strawberries, cream cheese, powdered sugar (may need more if you like it thicker) and lastly your vanilla. Blend until creamy 3 or 4 minutes.
