I HAVE BEEN MAKN THESE SPICY SUGAR NUTS FOR YEARS AT CHRISTMAS TIME....ANY KIND OF NUTS CAN B USED. A NICE ADDITION TO ANY HOLIDAY TABLE....ENJOY :)

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 c almonds
1 c pecans
1/2 c salted peanuts
2 egg whites
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to ur likeing)
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves

Steps:

  • 1. Put mixed nuts in large bowl. In small bowl mix egg whites with vanilla n mix in bowl with nuts.
  • 2. In small bowl mix sugars with cinnamon, cayenne, nutmeg, cloves n salt. Mix sugar mixture into bowl of nuts n egg whites...stir gently.
  • 3. Preheat oven to 300. Spread mixture onto parchment lined baking sheet n bake for 45 min stirring every 15 minutes...this step is important to prevent burnn. Gets better if made a day or two ahead of munchn.....ENJOY :)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 egg white
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
1 can (11.5 oz.) PLANTERS Mixed Nuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Beat egg white in medium bowl with wire whisk until foamy. Add sugar and seasonings; beat until well blended. Add nuts; stir until evenly coated.
  • Spread into lightly greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  • Bake 20 min., stirring occasionally. Cool completely. Store in airtight container at room temperature.
