My favorite punches, hot or cold, are the ones made with pineapple juice. Its flavor definitely comes through. This punch is especially good when the weather is cold, and you need something to warm you up.

Number Of Ingredients 9

12 cinnamon sticks, broken (3 inches)
4 teaspoons whole cloves
2 teaspoons whole allspice
Peel of 1 lemon, cut into 1-inch strips
9 cups white grape juice
1 can (46 ounces) unsweetened pineapple juice
3/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
1/2 cup sugar
Additional cinnamon sticks, optional

Steps:

  • Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice and lemon peel in a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with kitchen string to form a bag., In a large kettle, combine the grape juice, pineapple juice, lemonade concentrate and sugar; add the spice bag. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour or until punch reaches desired temperature. Discard spice bag. Serve hot with additional cinnamon sticks if desired.

1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/4 cup fresh raspberries
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon fresh parsley leaves
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro leaves
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 turkey (14 to 16 pounds)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Place the first 10 ingredients in a blender; cover and process until blended. Place turkey on a rack in a shallow roasting pan, breast side up. Tuck wings under turkey; tie drumsticks together. Roast, uncovered, 1 hour., Reduce oven setting to 325°. Brush turkey with half of the glaze. Roast 1-1/2 to 2 hours longer or until a thermometer inserted in thickest part of thigh reads 170°-175°, brushing turkey with remaining glaze during the last 45 minutes. (Cover loosely with foil if turkey browns too quickly.), Remove turkey from oven; tent with foil. Let stand 20 minutes before carving.

Number Of Ingredients 12

3 1/2 cups apple cider or juice
3 cups apricot nectar
1 cup peach nectar or additional apricot nectar
1/4 cup water
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 cinnamon sticks (3 in.)
1 tsp. finely chopped fresh gingerroot
1 tsp. grated orange peel
8 whole cloves
Lemon or orange slices, optional

Steps:

  • In a 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker, combine apple juice, nectars, water, lemon juice, cardamom and nutmeg. Place cinnamon sticks, ginger, orange peel and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth. Gather corners of cloth to enclose seasonings; tie securely with string. Place bag in slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low 3-4 hours or until heated through. Remove and discard spice bag. Serve warm, with lemon slices if desired.
