SOUTH AMERICAN BANANA BREAD
This is how they make traditional banana bread in Colombia...with cinnamon. I found this at Sparkpeople while looking for South American recipes for Culinary Quest 2014. I did some tweaking for an easier read based on how I make my own banana bread.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2. Cream softened butter and brown sugar. Add the bananas, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice, and the beaten egg. Beat wet ingredients well.
- 3. In a separate, small bowl mix the flours and the baking powder.
- 4. Then carefully mix the dry into the wet banana mixture, but DO NOT over mix - just stir it carefully enough to incorporate the flour.
- 5. Lastly, add the chopped pecans.
- 6. Bake & check for doneness at 30 minutes.

- Makes 12 pieces This is an old recipe from Colombia (South America) . We have made it hundreds of times. It is a basic banana bread with cinnamon.chop the pecans into small pieces. These will be added last. Preheat oven to 350 degreescream softened butter and brown sugar.On a plate, mash 2 bananas into fine mushy mash. Then mix the buttered sugar with the bananas and mix well.ADD in this order, salt, cinnamon, lemon juice, and the beaten egg. Beat wet ingredients well.In aSEPARATE small bowl mix the flours and the baking powder. Then carefully mix the dry into the wet banana mixture, but DO NOT overmix. just stir it carefully enough to incorporate the flour.
