  • Mix all ingredients until well blended; cover.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Serve spooned over assorted fresh berries.

1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
1 can (8 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the oranges, pineapple, marshmallows and coconut. Add sour cream and toss to mix. Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

THIS fruit salad is always on the menu for special occasions, since it can be served as a salad or dessert. It's a traditional dish with our family, and it must be passed on to a new bride. 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple tidbits, undrained
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon butter
Dash salt
4 medium navel oranges, sectioned, divided
3 cups seedless grapes, divided
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
Fresh mint, optional

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple, reserving 2 tablespoons juice; set pineapple aside. Pour juice into a double boiler; add the egg yolks, sugar, vinegar, butter and salt. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until mixture thickens and a thermometer reads at least 160°. Cool. , Stir in the pineapple, three oranges, 2-1/2 cups grapes and marshmallows. Cover and chill for at least 12 hours. , Fold in whipped cream just before serving. Top with remaining oranges and grapes. Garnish with mint if desired.

10 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup plus 6 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons (or more) Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
8 cups assorted fresh fruit (such as grapes, hulled strawberries,raspberries and blueberries)

Steps:

  • Combine first 4 ingredients and 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier in processor. Blend until smooth. Taste and add more Grand Marnier, if desired. Transfer mixture to bowl and refrigerate until cold, about one hour. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Keep refrigerated.)
  • Divide fruit among 8 stemmed goblets. Top with sauce and serve.

It is a recipe from my niece who got it from a friend who prepares fruit trays for a major grocery store. The preparation time is an estimate of the time it takes to prepare the fruit.

1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Mix sour cream, brown sugar and vanilla extract together.
  • Let stand in refrigerator for flavors to combine (at least an hour or two or even better overnight).
  • Cut fruit such as apples, bananas, grapes, melon, oranges, peaches, pears, strawberries or watermelon into pieces, chunks, wedges as desired.
  • Dip apples and bananas in lemon juice to prevent discoloration.
  • Place prepared fruit around the edge of a serving dish or tray.
  • Place dip in a pretty dish in the center of the tray.

This is a must for every Family Reunion event. People wait in line for this. Very good. Use Daisy brand sour cream if you have it in your area. It is the best by far. Also, save the fruit juices. - 15 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
- 20 oz. can pineapple chunks, drained
- 16 oz. can sliced pears, drained, cut in chunks
- 17 oz. can fruit cocktail, drained
- 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
- 12 oz. tub cool whip
- 2 cups sour cream (16 oz.)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- dash salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Combine all the fruit in a large bowl. In another bowl, combine cool whip, sour cream, sugar, lemon juice and salt; fold into fruit mixture. Chill. Just before serving, stir in nuts.

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 ½ cups milk
⅓ cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
¾ cup sour cream
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple tidbits, drained
1 (15 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange segments
2 bananas, sliced
1 apple - peeled, cored and sliced

Steps:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine pudding mix, milk, and orange juice concentrate. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes. Mix in sour cream.
  • In a large salad bowl, combine fruits. Gently mix in orange dressing. Cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours.
