cooking spray
1 (8 pound) spiral-cut ham, or more to taste
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Spray the slow cooker insert with cooking spray and place ham inside.

  • Cook in the slow cooker on Low, 6 to 8 hours. Baste the ham with the juices from the bottom once every hour.
  • Remove ham from the slow cooker. Pour juices from the bottom into a saucepan over medium heat. Mix cornstarch and water together in a bowl and pour into the saucepan. Cook until mixture thickens into a glaze, 6 to 8 minutes. Pour glaze over the ham or use as a gravy.

SLOW COOKER HONEY BAKED HAM

Categories     Pork

Number Of Ingredients 8

7-10 lb spiral ham (mine was pre-cooked)
2 tablespoons brown Dijon mustard (I used spicy)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup of water
2 tablespoons corn starch

Steps:

  • Spray your crock pot with non-stick cooking spray (if you have a slow cooker liner, I suggest using it- it will make clean-up a breeze!). Place ham in the crock pot. Combine sugar, honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, and mustard in a sauce pan on medium heat. Let cook for 2-5 minutes (until ingredients melt and combine) and whisk thoroughly. Remove from heat. Pour water in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour honey/brown sugar mixture over the ham. If the lid does not fit over your ham, you can make a tin foil tent (I used an 8 lb ham and it didn't fit in my 6 quart slow cooker).

Provided by @MakeItYours

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 bone-in spiral sliced ham (6 to 8 lbs)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup honey
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Trim ham as necessary and place in slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, stir together butter and honey, then rub over ham, pushing mixture into slices. Cover and cook on low 4-5 hours.
  • Towards the end of the cooking time, preheat oven broiler on high and line a roasting pan with foil.
  • In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, garlic powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, paprika, and salt. Press half of the mixture into the top of the ham.
  • Broil until bubbly and caramelized, about 3 minutes, then remove from oven.
  • Add remaining sugar mixture to a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Add 3 tablespoons of the ham liquid from the slow cooker (or water). Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Let boil 1 minute, then remove from the heat. Brush glaze over ham, then broil once more briefly, just 1-2 minutes.
  • Let ham rest at least 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
