These fabulous sandwiches feature pork shoulder that is slow cooked in a scrumptious sauce made with Campbell's® Condensed French Onion Soup, ketchup, vinegar and brown sugar, to serve on sandwich buns.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 ½ pounds boneless pork shoulder roast, netted or tied
1 (10.5 ounce) can Campbell's® Condensed French Onion Soup
1 cup ketchup
¼ cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
12 roll (blank)s round sandwich rolls or hamburger rolls, split

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook until it's well browned on all sides.
  • Stir the soup, ketchup, vinegar and brown sugar in a 5-quart slow cooker. Add the pork and turn to coat.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours* or until the pork is fork-tender.
  • Remove the pork from the cooker to a cutting board and let stand for 10 minutes. Using 2 forks, shred the pork. Return the pork to the cooker.
  • Divide the pork and sauce mixture among the rolls.

When I was in Jamaica, there was Jerk seasoned everything! Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork. This sandwich brings me back there, eating Conch and Jerk Pork. Just put the seasonings in, set your slow cooker and let it do the work for you!

1 boneless pork shoulder (about 2 1/2 lb)
1 Tbsp good jamaican jerk seasoning (dry)
1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves
1 medium onion chopped (1/2 cup)
1 c cola
2 c your favorite bbq sauce
8 sandwich buns

Steps:

  • 1. Spray 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Remove fat from pork. Rub jerk seasoning over pork; sprinkle with thyme. Place pork in slow cooker. Sprinkle with onion. Pour cola over pork.
  • 2. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
  • 3. Remove pork from slow cooker; reserve 1/2 cup juices. Use 2 forks to pull pork into shreds. Place pork in slow cooker. Stir in barbecue sauce and reserved juices. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook 30 to 45 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Spoon filling onto buns.

1 3 1/2-pound boneless pork shoulder or butt roast, rind and excess fat trimmed
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 18-22-ounce bottles of your favorite barbecue sauce
8 sesame seed buns, toasted

Steps:

  • 1 Lightly season the pork with salt and pepper. Place in a slow cooker insert, add the barbecue sauce, and cover. Cook on low until the pork is fork-tender, 8-9 hours.
  • 2 Skim off any fat from the sauce surface. Transfer the pork to a carving board. Let stand for 5 minutes. Using two forks, shred the pork, discarding any excess fat. Return to the slow cooker.
  • 3 Heap the meat and sauce onto the buns and serve hot.
