"This recipe is similar to a barbecue shrimp dish I love at a restaurant in Florida," writes Sandy Lutz from North Canton, Ohio. "I serve it as an entree with brown rice and a salad, but it could work as an appetizer, too."

1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
3 tablespoons chili sauce
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 pound uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first eight ingredients; add the shrimp. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 30 minutes. Drain and discard marinade., On two metal or soaked wooden skewers, thread shrimp. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side or until shrimp turn pink, turning once.

3 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons white wine or chicken broth
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
6 ounces swordfish steak, cut into six pieces
4 sea scallops
4 uncooked jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 bacon strips, halved
1 small sweet red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 small green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 small onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup cubed fresh pineapple

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Pour 1/4 cup into a large resealable plastic bag; add the swordfish, scallops and shrimp. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 30 minutes. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting., Drain and discard marinade. Wrap a bacon piece around each scallop. On four metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread the scallops, swordfish, shrimp, vegetables and pineapple., Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Number Of Ingredients 7

2 lb shrimp
3-4 clove garlic, finely minced
1/4 c olive oil, extra virgin
1/4 c butter, unsalted, melted
1/4 c flat leaf parsley, chopped
lemon wedges to serve
bamboo skewers soaked in water for at least 30 minutes

Steps:

  • 1. Soak bamboo skewers. Melt butter and olive oil together and stir in garlic and parsley.
  • 2. Thread shrimp on skewers. Preheat grill or broiler.
  • 3. Brush butter mixture on shrimp and either grill or broil until shrimp is pink.
  • 4. Do not over cook.
