My husband likes spicy dishes, and this is one of his favorites. He usually takes what's left to work for lunch the next day. We have a 4-year-old son, and this is the only way we can get him to even touch beans!

Number Of Ingredients 13

1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bacon, diced
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 can (16 ounces) pork and beans, undrained
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 ounces) great northern beans, rinsed and drained

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef, bacon and onion until meat is done and onion is tender. Drain any fat. Combine all remaining ingredients except beans. Add to meat mixture; mix well. Stir in beans. , Preheat oven to 350°; place bean mixture in a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake for 1 hour or until heated through.

This is the only beans that I make. Once you've eaten these you can't go back to regular baked beans!

1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1/2 lb bacon
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons molasses or 2 tablespoons Karo syrup
2 tablespoons mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans
1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans
1 (15 ounce) can baby butter beans

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and onion. Drain.
  • I cook bacon in microwave until crisp.
  • Add, and mix brown and white sugar, ketchup, barbecue sauce, molasses or Karo syrup, mustard, chili powder, pepper and salt.
  • Add kidney beans, pork and beans, and butter beans; mix.
  • Put in large casserole.
  • Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

1/2 lb ground beef
1/4 c chopped onion
1/3 c sugar
1/4 c barbecue sauce
2 Tbsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1 can(s) red kidney beans drained
1 can(s) great northern drained
1/2 lb bacon
1/3 c brown sugar
1/4 c ketchup
2 c moleasses dark
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 can(s) pork and beans well drained

Steps:

  • 1. Fry bacon and crumble into small pieces.
  • 2. In the bacon grease fry the ground beef. Drain well.
  • 3. Mix all the ingredients in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish and bake covered foe 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees.

First encountered this recipe at a Potluck and fell in love with it. So easy and so filling - a meal in itself. Add a salad or crusty bread for dipping - Yummm.

1/2 teaspoon mustard (not dry)
2 tablespoons molasses

Steps:

1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans
1 (15-ounce) can butter beans or lima beans
1 (31-ounce) can pork and beans

Steps:

  • In a 12" Dutch oven, fry the bacon and drain off the fat. Brown the hamburger, onions, and bell pepper, drain. Add the remaining ingredients and bacon, stir and cover. Bake at 350°F for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Serves 6 to 8

This has been a family favorite for years. Can't be beat for flavor.

1/2 pound(s) bacon
16 ounce(s) pork & beans (
16 ounce(s) kidney beans, canned
16 ounce(s) butter beans
1/4 cup(s) brown suger
2 tablespoon(s) molasses
1/4 cup(s) catsup
1/4 cup(s) barbeque sauce
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/2 jar(s) picante sauce
1 - onion
2 tablespoon(s) mustard

Steps:

  • Brown bacom, pour off fat, brown beef with bacon, add rest of ingredients. Cook in oven 2 hours or crock pot all day. Theh longer it cooks, the better it is.
