2 pounds smoked kielbasa or Polish sausage, sliced
1 jar (24 ounces) chunky applesauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped onion

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker. Cook, covered on low, until heated through, 3-4 hours.

These slow cooker sausages in onion gravy feature a delicious homemade gravy that you can make with just a few simple ingredients.

1 kg (2.2 lb) Italian beef sausages
2 onions, sliced
1 tsp garlic, crushed
2 cups beef stock
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3 Tbsp cornstarch
4 Tbsp water

Steps:

  • Quickly brown the sausages in a frypan over high heat.
  • In a slow cooker, add the onions and place the sausages on top. Add the beef stock, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Remove the sausages from the slow cooker.
  • Mix the cornstarch and water until well combined. Once done, pour into the slow cooker, stir slightly, and season to taste.
  • Add the sausages back to the slow cooker and cook on high for 30 minutes or until thickened.
  • Serve & Enjoy.

2 medium sweet onions, diced
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
2 teaspoons parsley flakes
1/2-1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 cup apple juice
2 teaspoons butter
2 lbs smoked sausage, cut into 2 inch pieces
1 lb egg noodles, cooked

Steps:

  • Put everything but the sausage into a crockpot.
  • Cook on low for approximately 6 hours or until the apples start to sauce.
  • Add the sausage and cook for another 2 hours.
  • Serve over the egg noodles.
