20g unsalted butter
olive oil, for drizzling
6 pork sausages
350g chestnut mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
300ml soured cream
½ tbsp wholegrain mustard
150ml beef stock
400g dried tagliatelle
small bunch parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan over a medium-high heat until foaming. Squeeze large chunks of the sausagemeat out of the skins and into the pan. Cook for 5-8 mins or until golden brown. Add the mushrooms and cook for a further 5 mins until starting to turn brown. Stir through the paprika and cook for 1 min before stirring in the soured cream, mustard and stock. Bring to a simmer and season to taste.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pan of salted water according to pack instructions, then add to the sauce with half the parsley. Serve in deep bowls with the remaining parsley sprinkled on top.

1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1-1/4 cups chicken broth, divided
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley, optional
Hot cooked noodles

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in mushrooms; cook for 1 minute. Add 1 cup broth, Worcestershire sauce and pepper; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through., In a small bowl, combine remaining broth and flour; stir until smooth. Gradually stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 minutes. Reduce heat; add sour cream. Stir until heated through (do not boil). Add parsley if desired. Serve with noodles.

1 package (12 ounces) medium egg noodles
1 pound fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage until heated through; drain. Remove with a slotted spoon and keep warm. 1 lb kielbasa smoked sausage (in Sweden, use falukorv)
2 yellow onions, chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
butter or margarine
1/4 cup tomato puree or 1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 bouillon cube
1 cup water
salt & pepper
1/2 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Slice sausage into strips (not dimes). In a skillet, brown over high heat. Add chopped onion and paprika to the skillet. Add tomato puree, mustard, bouillon cube, and water.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and let simmer briefly over low heat.(about 30 minutes).
  • Season with pepper and salt to taste.
  • Garnish with sour cream just before serving.
  • Serve with rice.

I found this recipe in a TOH "Country Pork" cookbook,it was sent into them by Barbara Berkow from Northbrook, Illinois.Since I don't like mushrooms those were left out.I haven't tried this yet,just wanted to put it here for safe keeping :) Any flavor of sausage should work just fine with this.The amount of sour cream that you use is up to you.
