Praline Crunch - highly addictive!! SOOOO good! Sweet and Salty in every bite! Crispix cereal, pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, vanilla, baking soda. Can make ahead of time and store in an air-tight container. Great for a party or homemade gift!

8 cups Crispix cereal
2 cups pecan halves ((I use salted))
½ cup brown sugar, (packed)
½ cup corn syrup
½ cup butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking soda

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250ºF.
  • In a large bowl, combine cereal and pecans.
  • In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture, tossing to coat evenly.
  • Pour cereal mixture into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  • Pour onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces.

1 (12 ounce) package crispy corn and rice cereal (such as Crispix®)
3 cups pecan halves
3 cups whole almonds
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
½ cup butter
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly butter a large roasting pan.
  • Mix corn and rice cereal, pecans, and almonds together in the prepared roasting pan.
  • Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Heat to 240 degrees F (115 degrees C) or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from the water and placed on a flat surface. Remove saucepan from heat and stir vanilla extract into syrup.
  • Drizzle syrup over cereal mixture and toss to coat.
  • Bake cereal mixture in the preheated oven for 30 minutes; stir and continue baking for 30 minutes more. Spread cereal mixture in 1 layer onto 2 lightly buttered baking sheets, separating any large chunks with 2 forks; allow to cool.

1 cup small pretzel twists, broken
1 cup Sunshine® Cheez-It® Original crackers
1 cup popped popcorn
1/2 cup toasted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • 1. In large bowl combine KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal, pretzels, SUNSHINE CHEEZ-IT ORIGINAL crackers, popcorn, sunflower seeds, almonds, chili powder and cinnamon.
  • 2. In small saucepan cook and stir brown sugar and butter over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves. Pour over cereal mixture. Toss until well coated. Transfer to 15 x 10 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring every 5 minutes. Spread on foil. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (6-oz)
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup peanuts, yogurt covered raisins, dried cranberries, butterscotch chips or flaked coconut
1 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. In large microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate at HIGH for 1 minute. Stir. Heat additional 30 seconds at HIGH or until melted. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts, raisins, cranberries, butterscotch morsels or coconut. Add KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal. Stir until evenly coated.2. Place powdered sugar in 2-gallon zipper-type plastic bag. Add coated cereal mixture to sugar and close bag. Gently toss until evenly coated. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.Microwave cooking times may vary.CONVENTIONAL DIRECTIONS: In heavy 3-quart saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. 3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 box Crispix cereal

Steps:

  • Bring butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup to a boil.
  • Boil 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add baking soda (it will foam).
  • Put the cereal in a large bowl and pour the boiled mixture over the cereal and stir to coat.
  • Bake 1 hour at 200-250F degrees.
  • Stir every 15 minutes.
  • You may add nuts if you desire.
