RICE KRISPIE ROLL

This is a fun and creative spin on traditional Rice Krispie Treats!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 stick of Butter
1/4 c. Peanut Butter
10 oz. bag of Marshmallows
5-6 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1 c. Chocolate Chips
3/4 c. Butterscotch Chips
1/4 c. Peanut Butter

Steps:

  • Melt the butter, 1/4 c. peanut butter and marshmallows in a large bowl in the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes. Once it's melted together add the cereal, 1 cup at a time, and mix well. Spray a large piece of wax paper with baking spray then turn out the rice krispie mix onto the wax paper and flatten out in a large rectangle. To keep hands from sticking to the cereal mix simply wet your hands with water as needed. Melt the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and remaining peanut butter in the microwave for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth. Spread the chocolate mixture over the flattened rice krispies. Roll up, the long way, peeling the wax paper back as you roll keeping it on the outside of the rice krispie log. It will be messy but that's okay! Wrap in the wax paper and freeze for 20-30 minutes to allow the chocolate mixture to set. Remove the roll from the freezer and cut into slices using a serrated knife. Enjoy!

This is not my recipe I saw it on the Fox 8 Morning show and just had to share it with you all because it is OH SO GOOOOOOD!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/4 c butter, softened
1 1/4 c peanut butter, creamy
1- 10 oz package marshmallows, mini
5 1/2 c rice krispy cereal
1 1/3 c chocolate chips 1/2 semi sweet 1/2 milk choclate
1/4 c peanut butter adtnl

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter, peanut butter and marshmallows together, stir in Rice Krispies. Press onto a liberally buttered piece of wax paper (about 11×15 section). Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Spread chocolate mixture onto Rice Krispies and allow to set for 4-6 minutes. Gently roll up Rice Krispies and chocolate mixture, just like Cinnamon Rolls. Wrap in the buttered wax paper and chill before slicing. A very simple and yummy snack!

1/4 c butter, melted
10 1/2 oz mini marshmallows
5 1/2 c rice krispies
1 1/2 c milk chocolate chips
1/2 c peanut butter

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in a 6 quart kettle, add marshmallows. Melt completely over low heat.
  • 2. Add the Rice Krispies. Mix well.
  • 3. Spread evenly into a greased 10½ x 15½ baking sheet.
  • 4. In a microwave safe bowl combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Melt at 1 minute intervals until completely melted, stirring after each minute.
  • 5. Spread on top of Rice Krispies mixture. Let set in a cool place till chocolate mixture sets up. Be careful not to let the chocolate get too hard, it will not make a neat roll if you do.
  • 6. Loosen all around with a metal spatula. Roll, starting on the long side. Sprinkle the roll with seasonal sprinkles if desired. Slice and enjoy! Can be wrapped in Saran Wrap for storage if needed.

3/4 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons butter
4 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1/3 cup butter
3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
2/3 cup cocoa

Steps:

  • For outside of roll, melt together corn syrup and sugar.
  • When mixture bubbles, remove from heat and add the rest of the "outside" ingredients.
  • Grease a cookie sheet and put greased wax paper on it.
  • Spread the Rice Krispies mixture evenly on the wax paper.
  • In a bowl, mix filling ingredients together.
  • Spread filling on Rice Krispies mixture and roll up like a jelly roll.
  • Slice when cool, and store in the refrigerator.

1 (10 ounce) package large marshmallows
¼ cup butter
¼ cup peanut butter
5 ½ cups crispy rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies®)
1 ⅓ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
¾ cup butterscotch chips

Steps:

  • Line a 15x10x1-inch pan with waxed paper. Grease the waxed paper.
  • Combine marshmallows, butter, and peanut butter together in a large microwave-safe bowl. Cover bowl and heat mixture in the microwave until marshmallows are melted, about 2 minutes. Stir well.
  • Stir rice cereal into marshmallow mixture until well coated; spread onto the prepared pan.
  • Combine chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat mixture in microwave until melted, about 2 minutes. Stir well.
