White Chip Island Cookies image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 2/3 cup(s) flour
3/4 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt (i omit)
3/4 cup(s) butter or margarine, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
3/4 cup(s) packed brown sugar
1/3 cup(s) sugar
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1 - large egg
12 ounce(s) white chocolate chips
1 cup(s) coconut, flaked (toasted if desired)
3/4 cup(s) chopped macadamia nuts or walnuts

Steps:

  • Oven to 375 degrees. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. In mixer combine butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy. Add egg. Gradually add flour mixture. Spoon in chips, coconut and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
