We really enjoy Bananas Foster, so I thought we should try a similar treatment for fresh peaches. This is the result.

Steps:
- Melt butter in non-stick frying pan, over low heat.
- Add brown sugar splenda, lemon juice, water and peach juice (I squeezed the juice from the skins and little bits I was discarding, right into the frying pan).
- Add cinnamon and nutmeg and bring to a low simmer.
- Add vanilla extract.
- Gently stir in the sliced peaches and warm them through.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream and top with toasted almonds.
