VIVIAN’S SPLIT SECOND COOKIES image

Number Of Ingredients 7

3/4 Cup of butter
1 egg
2/3 cups of sugar
1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 cups of flour
red jam or preserves

Steps:

  • Cream butter with sugar; add egg and vanilla. Fold in flour and baking powder Divide dough in 4 parts. Shape into log 13 inches long. Place on ungreased cookie sheet Make a depression in center and fill with jam. Bake 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes While warm cut into bars.
