Umami Paste image

umami is called the 5th taste. This is a savory paste to use with pasta as a condiment dip marinade or secret ingredient in soups, stews, chilies and gravies.

1 Tbsp anchovy paste
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp tomato paste
1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
3 Tbsp olive oil
4 clove garlic minced
1 Tbsp fish sauce
4 shiitake mushrooms finely chopped
1 tsp red miso paste
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • 1. place all ingredients in food processor. Blend until smooth
  • 2. Store in fridge
