Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously coat a 13×9 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, pecans, and egg until thoroughly combined. Using a pastry blender or your hands, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; set aside 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture on the bottom of prepared pan. Stir jam to soften and carefully spread on top of the dough in three even sections. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips, followed by the reserved crumb mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan before cutting into bars.
