Taco Mac & Cheese image

My family loves taco mac and cheese and they are so good and cheesy and tasty. You can use elbow or shell macaroni.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb ground beef
2 3/4 c water
1/3 c ketchup
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
2 c (8 oz.) elbow macaroni, uncooked
1/2 lb velveeta cheese, cut up

Steps:

  • 1. Brown meat in large skillet; drain. Stir in water, ketchup and chili powder. Bring to a boil. Stir in macaroni. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender and water is almost absorbed. Add prepared cheese product, cook until melted, stirring frequently. Garnish with crushed tortilla chips, chopped green onions and tomatoes, if desired.
