Sweet Potato Biscuits image

This recipe was given to me by my ex mother-in-law, who passed away years ago. It is very simple and makes the best sweet potato biscuits you will ever taste. Enjoy.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup(s) self-rising flour
1 cup(s) granulated sugar
1 can(s) sweet potatoes
1 stick(s) butter, room temperature

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare biscuit pan, if necessary, and set aside.
  • Drain and mash sweet potatoes. Mix, by hand, flour, sugar, sweet potatoes, and butter until completely blended.
  • You can either roll out dough on floured surface and use biscuit cutter or roll dough into a log shape and pinch off portions, rolling and flattening on biscuit pan.
  • Bake in oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.
