Sweet Chex Mix image

Perfect snack for this time of year!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 box(es) chex mix
1 can(s) nuts of your choice
1 cup(s) butter or margarine
2 cup(s) brown sugar
1/2 cup(s) light karo syrup
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 - bag of m & ms (optional)

Steps:

  • Put the cereal and nuts in a big brown paper bag. In saucepan, mix butter, brown sugar, and karo syrup. Bring to a boil for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Mix well and pour over cereal and nuts in bag. Stir and close bag. Microwave on high for five minutes; remove and shake bag every minute. Spread on wax paper and let cool. Add M&Ms (opt)
