MEAT MIXTURE
1 egg
1/4 c milk - a little more if needed
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp each - salt & onion powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 lb ground beef
2 - 3 Tbsp grated onion
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
SAUCE
8 oz fresh sliced mushroom, optional ( i didn't use this time)
1/4 c butter
1/2 tsp salt
8 Tbsp flour - divided
3 c beef broth - mixed with 1 tsp better than buillon beef paste - or can use buillon cube or 1 - 2 tsp buillon crystals
2 c sour cream
prepared hot noodles or rice
paprika and parsley for garnish ~ optional

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Lightly grease a sheet pan. In a bowl, add egg, salt, pepper, onion powder, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, milk, onion and combine. Crumble the ground beef as adding and add bread crumbs. Mix well, trying not to overwork and form into meatballs. Place on prepared sheet pan.
  • 2. Bake for roughly 25 minutes or until juices run clear. In a medium saucepan, saute the mushrooms in 1/4 cup butter and salt, until tender. Stir in 3 tablespoons flour until blended - continue cooking for 1 minute. Gradually add the broth and bring to a boil. Continue cooking for a few minutes, then reduce heat. Combine the sour cream and remaining flour and stir until well combined. Stir into mushrooms, add meatballs and simmer for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • 3. Serve over hot cooked noodles and garnish with paprika and fresh parsley if desired.
