Super Simple Indiana Biscuits and Gravy image

Three ingredients (plus seasonings) and you have good "comfort food" gravy. Serve over biscuits, potatoes, or toast. This is an Indiana winter farm favorite. it fills you up and warms you up.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/2 pound(s) bulk pork sausage
1/4 cup(s) flour
2 1/2 cup(s) milk

Steps:

  • Crumble sausage in a large skillet and cook until thoroughly done and brown. Remove sauage from pan and set aside. Drain all but 2T grease and drippings.
  • Stir flour into drippings and continue to cook, stirring constantly until flour has browned. Gradually stir in milk and continue to stir constantly until gravy thickens. Stir in cooked sausage and seasonings to taste.
  • Serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes, or toast. Most of my friends like to serve over "Grands" brand prepared biscuits.
