Stuffed Bell Peppers Superior image

These stuffed peppers are moist, juicy, and delicious! They'd make an elegant presentation for a dinner party, but easy enough for a weeknight dinner. The beefy onion soup mix really elevates the flavor of the stuffing.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 package(s) beefy onion soup mix (envelope)
2 pound(s) lean ground chuck
3/4 cup(s) bread crumbs, gluten free
2 - eggs
1 can(s) tomato sauce (small can, 8 oz)
3/4 cup(s) water
4 - whole bell peppers, green and yellow
- salt, pepper, Lawry's seaoning
shredded cheese, your choice

Steps:

  • Mix beef and the rest of the ingredients (except peppers and Lawry's) in a large bowl. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Slightly blanch bell peppers after slicing in half lengthwise. Fill in mounds with the beef mix. Sprinkle with Lawry's lightly. Place in a 13x9x2 pan.
  • Bake 30 min covered with foil. Then an additional 30 min uncovered.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Let sit 10 min before serving.
