SPINACH WITH GROUND MEAT image

Number Of Ingredients 11

Frozen or fresh spinach (1 kilo or two to three frozen packs)
1/2 kilo of ground beef
One large onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon All spice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
salt to taste
pepper to taste
a bunch of fresh coriander
4 garlic cloves, chopped
lemons
rice (cooked)

Steps:

  • •In a cooking pot, add olive oil and heat •Add onions, ground beef, spices and sauté until meat browned •Add spinach and sauté for a few minutes then add enough water to cover the spinach •Let boil, then turn down heat to simmer and cook for a further 30 minutes or so. •In a separate pan sauté the garlic and chopped coriander in some olive oil for a few minutes (do not burn) then add the mixture to the spinach and let simmer together for another 10-15 mins •Serve hot with rice and salad. Serve lemons to squeeze on spinach
