Spinach Fruit & Avocado Salad image

A tasty salad that can be easily changed to suit your own tastes. Don't like poppy seeds...try slivered almonds or sunflower seeds. Add more or less onion to taste, or try sliced red onion on top. Want to make a meal of it, add grilled chicken!

16 ounces fresh spinach
1 ripe avocado
1 pint strawberry
2 bananas
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/3 cup red wine or 1/3 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 small onion, chopped
1 -2 teaspoon poppy seed

Steps:

  • Dressing: In a blender combine all ingredients, except poppy seeds. Blend 1 minute. Add poppy seeds to dressing (optional-blend a few more seconds). Refrigerate.
  • Salad: Clean spinach & tear. Just before serving slice fruits and add with salad dressing.
