SPICY TURKEY KIELBASA SOUP image

Number Of Ingredients 13

1/2 pound reduced-fat smoked turkey kielbasa, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 celery rib with leaves, thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 14 1/2-ounce cans reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 15 1/2-ounce can great northern beans, rinsed & drained
1 14 1/2-ounce can stewed tomatoes, cut up
1 small zucchini, sliced
1 medium carrot, shredded
1 Tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • 1. In a non-stick skillet, cook kielbasa over medium heat until lightly browned. Add the onion, green pepper and celery; cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. 2. Transfer to a 5-quart slow cooker. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
