- If using fresh tomatoes, blanche them for a few minutes and remove peels. 1) Set stove to simmer and add smooshed tomatoes to a large saucepan. 2) Add rest of ingredients to pan, to taste. 3) Let simmer as long as you like (up to a few hours). 4) Serve over pasta, gnocchi, veggies, or anything!
