Spiced Rum Pretzels image

This is one of my favorite snacks. Perfect for game day or holiday munchies. Note: Whiskey or brandy can be substituted with equally delicious results!

Number Of Ingredients 6

16 ounce(s) pretzels
1 stick(s) butter, unsalted
3 tablespoon(s) spiced rum
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon(s) granulated garlic

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Melt butter in a small saucepan or microwave. Whisk in rum, brown sugar, and spices.
  • Pour butter mixture over pretzels in a very large bowl and toss gently to coat.
  • Spread coated pretzels on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet. Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Remove pretzels from oven and spread on paper towels or parchment to cool.
