Having a Cajun mother and grandparents was a wonderful thing growing up.I learned alot from all of them from sewing to cooking.Mom grew up very poor and they had to make the best of what they had.She also worked in the fields picking cotton while grandma sewed dresses and sold them for 2.00 a piece. When we would go visit them in Louisiana the first thing walking in the door was the wonderful smell of gumbo and greens.Although my husband doesn't care for greens my sons and I love them.
