Souperior Meatloaf and Tomato Glaze Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup Mix
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup (125 ml) ketchup
1/2 cup (125 ml) fine bread crumbs (I use crushed soda crackers)
2 pounds (1 kg) lean ground beef
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup or Heinz Chili Sauce ( I prefer chili sauce)
1 TBSP prepared mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C). Blend together Lipton Onion Soup Mix, eggs, 1/2 cup ketchup, and bread crumbs. Add ground beef and combine well. Shape into a 9 x 5 inch (2L) loaf pan. Mix 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar and mustard together. Spread over meatloaf. Bake for 70 minutes.
