Slow Cooker Smoked Pork and Greens image

A few dashes of liquid smoke and steak seasoning give this southern-style crock pot meal it's flavor.

1 3 lb. pork shoulder roast
1 bag(s) (16 oz) frozen chopped collard greens
1 onion, chopped
1 box (32 oz) swanson chicken broth
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp mccormick montreal steak seasoning
1/2 tsp liquid smoke

Steps:

  • 1. Place frozen collard greens in the slow cooker.
  • 2. Combine the onion, chicken broth, vinegar, sugar, steak seasoning, and liquid smoke together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour over greens.
  • 3. Place roast (fat side up) over greens. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
