How to make Skittles Popcorn

Provided by @MakeItYours

Number Of Ingredients 3

8 cups popped popcorn
1 cup white melting chocolate
½ cup Skittles, mixed or one color at a time, this is what I did

Steps:

  • Line a baking/cookie sheet with parchment paper, pour the 8 cups of popcorn on top of the parchment paper and set aside.
  • Using a food process, add in ½ cup Skittles, I did one color at a time.
  • Chop the Skittles in the processor until Skittles become granulated like sugar. Pour the Skittles "sugar" into a small bowl. Melt white chocolate according to package directions, then drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn. Using two spatulas, stir popcorn 3-5 times to coat. Immediately shake ¼ cup of the Skittles "sugar" over the popcorn. Turn the popcorn once again, then add more Skittles "sugar" to your taste. I added an additional 2 tablespoons. You will have plenty, use as much as you would like.
  • Let it harden on wax paper, then break up and serve. Like I mentioned above, I made all 5 colors!
  • Making it fun for all the kids to snack on their favorite "Skittle."
  • Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days. After 3 days it starts to get soft and chewy, but still yummy!
