Simple Fried Pork Chops image

This was dinner earlier this week. I had'nt had a pork chop in about a year. I past these in the store, I could have sworn they called out My Name. I thought, who knows me in this store, this time of day? WELL, I turn around and found an old friend. YES, I baught him home with me ! I don't regret it either! I'M GOING TO...

Number Of Ingredients 7

HEAT OIL TO FRYING TEMP. 160 F (SEE PICTURE) MEDIUM FLAME
pork chops
dash(es) seasoning salt (to your taste)
dash(es) black pepper (to your taste)
dash(es) garlic powder (to your taste)
2 c oil for frying
1/2 c flour (for dust coating)

Steps:

  • 1. Season chops with salt,pepper, and garlic powder
  • 2. Heat oil for frying 160 F (see picture)
  • 3. Put flour in bag, add chops in bags ((((shake)))) THE BAG ! NOT YOU !
  • 4. Use TIP of chop to test oil (see picture). Isn't that better than using your finger ?
  • 5. SLOWLY add chop to HOT OIL. " Zizzle Zizzle Zizzle" , just a little while longer!
  • 6. WHAT !!!! YES, you may see "the red stuff" "GET OVER IT" this happens with most meat you fry. YES IT DOES !
  • 7. Fry until gloden brown, aprox. 5 minutes then carefully turn over and cook about 4 minutes. This is for a 1/2 inch thick cut. Add more time to each side if thicker.
  • 8. Sit down,fix your dinner plate; with a good glass of sweet tea. ENJOY !
