Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2. Make the pie filling by placing 1/2 stick of butter, apple slices, brown sugar and cinnamon in a medium saute' pan. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes - until butter and sugar are melted and apples have softened. Set aside to cool slightly.
- 3. Pour melted butter into bottom of a 9 x 9 baking dish or pan.
- 4. In a medium bowl, mix flour, 1/2 c sugar, baking powder and milk together. Stir until mostly smooth.
- 5. Pour batter mixture over melted butter. Don't stir.
- 6. Pour apple filling over batter. Again, don't stir.
- 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes until golden brown. Batter will rise up and cover most of the apples. it's magic! Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
