Sherried Hot Fruit image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 (16-ounce) can pears
1 (16-ounce) can dark pitted cherries
1 (16-ounce) can pineapple chunks
4 bananas, sliced (more if desired)
1 (16-ounce) can peaches
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, divided
1/2 cup brown sugar, divided
1 (2 1/2-ounce) package slivered almonds, divided
1/2 (16-ounce) package macaroons, crumbled
1/4 cup sherry or juice from canned fruit

Steps:

  • Drain fruit and cut into bite-sized pieces. In a 3-quart casserole dish, layer fruit, dotting each layer with butter, a sprinkle of brown sugar, and almonds. Top with macaroons. Sprinkle with sherry or fruit juice. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
