- Thaw shrimp Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over high heat, bring water, rice mix, wine and 1 tablespoon of the butter to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until no free liquid remaining but mixture is still saucy, stirring occasionally. Cover and keep warm.Drain shrimp. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add shrimp and garlic. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until shrimp is opaque and tender (do not overcook).Add rice mixture and pepper to shrimp. Gently stir to mix before serving.Serve with green beans and biscuits or rolls.* A (4.5 oz.) seasoned herb and butter rice mix can be used if preferred. Both mixes cook in about 10 minutes.
