Sausage & Bean Dip Recipe image

This is a recipe from Taste of Home that I tweaked to my liking.

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 pound(s) sweet italian sausage
1 small onion (chopped)
4 clove(s) garlic (minced)
1/2 cup(s) chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
8 ounce(s) cream cheese (softened)
6 ounce(s) fresh baby spinach, chopped
1 can(s) 15 oz. cannellini beans(rinsed & drained)
1 cup(s) chopped seeded tomatoes
4 ounce(s) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup(s) shredded parmesan cheese
- assorted crackers or bread slices

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large skillet cook sausage, onion and garlic over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink, breaking up sausage into crumbles; drain.
  • Stir in chicken broth, oregano and thyme. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is almost evaporated.
  • Add cream cheese; stir until melted. Stir in spinach, beans and tomatoes; cook and stir until spinach is wilted.
  • Transfer to a greased 8 in square baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.
  • Serve with crackers or bread rounds.
