SALTINE CRACKER COOKIES image

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla
saltine crackers - 1 sleeve
12 oz semi-sweet choc chips
1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Melt butte, add sugar and simmer undisturbed until sugar is melted. Off heat, add vanilla, stir and pour over prepared crackers. Prepare jelly roll pan with buttered tin foil and place crackers in about 5 rows. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes; sprinkle with chocolate chips and spread. Garnish with chopped nuts, if desired. Refrigerate for 1 hour and cut
