Salmon Pea Wiggle image

This was on the menu at my elementary school in Kezar Falls, Maine. How many years ago was that? Too Many.I cannot believe I found this recipe! I really loved this and when we had it I was in Heaven. I remember the ladies handing out the food would put a saltine cracker the size of 9 squares together. Do any of you remember that?...

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 c whole milk
3 Tbsp all purpose flour
2 can(s) salmon, drained and flaked
1 c baby peas
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Directions: Place milk in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring just to the boiling point, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the flour with a fork, and continue cooking and stirring until slightly thickened. Stir in the peas, and let the mixture heat back up to a simmer while stirring constantly. Mix in the salmon, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking and stirring until thick and heated through. Serve over saltine crackers, toast or buttered egg noodles.
