RUM CAKE WITH GLAZE image

Cake
6 ounces of smashed pecans nuts
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 ounces of melted butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
5 eggs beaten
1/2 dark rum
Glaze
1/4 pound butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 dark rum

Steps:

  • For the cake 1-Grease the cake pan with butter 2-Put pecans nuts at the bottom of the pan 3-Mix all dry ingredients 4-Add butter and mix 5-Add eggs one by one, mix between them 6-Add rum 7-Mix well 8-Pour everything in the cake pan 9-Oven at 350F for 35 mins. 10-Let cool for 15 mins For the Glaze (Can be prepeared before the cake) 1-Melt butter in saucepan. 2-Stir in water, sugar and rum 3-Boil for 5 minutes 4-Let cool a bit but ready now or later to pour over the cake
