Rum Bundt Cake image

This was one of my Grandma's cake recipe and its a true RUM cake , Its made with rum alcohol.. its very moist and delicious ..yummy

FOR THE CAKE :
1 box yellow cake mix
1 c chopped walnuts
3.34oz. box instant vanilla pudding
4 large eggs
1/2 c cold water
1/2 c oil
1/2 c rum
FOR THE ICING :
1/4 c water
1/4 c butter
1 c sugar
1/2 c rum

Steps:

  • 1. Grease and flour a Bundt pan ; sprinkle the walnuts over the bottom of the pan.
  • 2. Mix the cake mix with the pudding , eggs , rum , water and oil on medium with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • 3. Carefully pour the batter on top of the walnuts and Bake @ 325° for 60 minutes or until tooth pick test comes out clean ; Once cool invert onto a serving plate.
  • 4. For the icing : melt the butter and stir in the water and the sugar ; constantly stir for 5 minutes ; Remove from the heat and stir in the rum.
  • 5. Poke the cake with a fork and drizzle all the icing all over the cake.
