Rice Pudding (No Eggs) image

This is so simple and so good. I got it from a friend who was from England. It is perfect for me since I am allergic to all poultry. Even if I wasn't I would still love it.

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 tablespoon(s) rice, uncooked
7 tablespoon(s) sugar
1 pint(s) table cream or half and half
1 pint(s) milk
3 tablespoon(s) butter
- nutmeg

Steps:

  • Put rice, sugar, cream and milk in a two quart casserole pan and stir together.
  • Slice the butter and dot the top of the mixture with the butter. Shake ground or freshly grated nutmeg on top. You can use quite a bit of nutmeg, it just makes it better.
