The original recipe for this potato salad would be made in huge quantities. It would also have a lot of additives in it because it's commercial shelf life is 6 weeks. This is a recipe which has been put together and tested and is very close in taste and can be made in your own kitchen

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 medium (2 lbs) red potatoes
1 1/2 c mayo or salad dressing
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp lawry's seasoning salt
1 hard boiled egg
green onion tops or chives
parsley flakes
chopped celery

Steps:

  • 1. Boil potatoes just until firmly tender. Remove from heat and run cold water over while peeling ( they will continue to cook, so this step must be done right away)
  • 2. Have dressing mixed and ready to pour over each layer of potatoes Add hard boiled egg, radish slices (optional), green onion tops or chives, parsley,and chopped celery. Taste dressing before adding to potatoes, it should be tangy
  • 3. A shortcut is to use bottled Marzetti's Coleslaw dressing Chill before serving
