QUICK SAUTÉED GREEN BEANS WITH BACON AND NUTS image

1/2 cup B. Lloyd's Glazed Walnut Pieces
4 slices bacon
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pound green beans, cleaned and tips removed
Kosher salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels, crumble when cooled. Remove all but 1 tablespoon rendered bacon fat from the skillet. Add the olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté 1 minute. Add green beans and sauté until al dente (about 8 minutes). Sprinkle with B. Lloyd's Glazed Walnut Pieces and bacon. Add salt and pepper. Toss and serve.
