Quiche Lorraine image

I found this recipe at http://www.recipelion.com/Savory-Pies/Quiche-Lorraine-3, but because it had an identical title to another Quiche Lorraine recipe I had previously posted, it wouldn't let me pinch it with the browser app, so I have transcribed it here.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 - 9" pie shell
8 - slices bacon, diced
1/2 cup(s) scallions with tops, chopped
6 - eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon(s) onion salt
1 cup(s) swiss cheese, grated
2 cup(s) half and half
1/4 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Brown bacon lightly. Drain excess grease and add scallions. Cook until golden brown, cool slightly.
  • Combine eggs, onion salt, cheese, and bacon mixture; add cream and blend well.
  • Pour into pie shell, sprinkle with nutmeg, and bake at 375 for 30 - 35 minutes.
