These bars smell so good when baking because of the spices. This was a cake and I changed it over to make bars because I was looking for finger foods for a party. My Mom always made this cake around the Christmas Holidays because she said it made the house smell good.

Steps:
- 1. Heat over to 350 degrees.
- 2. Grease 15" x 10" x 1" baking pan.
- 3. In a large bowl combine all bar ingredients except nuts and raisins.
- 4. Beat on low speed until moistened.
- 5. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
- 6. Stir in nuts and raisins.
- 7. Pour into greased pan.
- 8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. COOL COMPLETELY.
- 9. In a smaller bowl, combine all frosting ingredients and beat until smooth.
- 10. Frost cooled bars and store in refrigerator. Makes 48 bars.
- 11. If you would like, you can make a 13" x 9" Pumpkin Raisin Cake. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
